Basic Gantt chart
In order to develop a basic Gantt chart, a project plan must be completed.
This plan includes a series of tasks that need to be completed in a particular order. Projects have a start date which corresponds to the start date of the first task within the project, and also an end date which corresponds with the final task to be completed within the project. The Gantt chart will also show any overlapping of scheduled tasks and will allow for adjustments to the schedule in order to most effectively complete each task.
Gantt Chart Software
Gantt chart software simplifies the use of a Gantt chart and will make project management more efficient. Gantt chart software, such as MindView, allows one to view their project in several mind map layouts, and then easily convert to the Gantt chart. The Gantt chart can also be viewed as a timeline, which simplifies the tasks within a project for those who may be unfamiliar with Gantt charts. Through the use of software, a Gantt chart can be fine-tuned to manage task information from beginning to the end. All the project data is easy to read and visually appealing.
